Sculptural Brutalist French Wood Lamp circa 1950 like Constantin Brancusi

Wooden sculpture lamp, 1950. . France. . In the spirit of Constantin Brancusi's sculptures. In a perfect state, Lampshade almost new, Superb patina. . Dimensions : Total height : 51 cm Shade height : 20 cm Shade diameter : 30 cm 18 cm square foot per side . Perfect and new electricity. . Diffuses a very poetic light ; as beautiful lit as unlit. . In a brutalist style, this lamp is strongly reminiscent of the work of Constantin Brancusi, Romanian sculptor, was born in February 1876 in Hobitza. He died on March 16, 1957 in Paris. A precursor of abstract art, Brancusi is concerned with reducing forms to their simplest expression, favoring the ovoid and using raw, unreworked materials. . It reminds also the works of #lamp the 50s architecture the art of Picasso, Calder, Giacometti, Barbarahepworth period and Jean Prouvé style, abstract decoration or mid centurylamp, figurative sculptures or charlotte perriand works. . A very slight stain inside the lampshade is barely visible.
