In a brutalist style, this lamp is strongly reminiscent of the work of Constantin Brancusi, Romanian sculptor, was born in February 1876 in Hobitza. He died on March 16, 1957 in Paris. A precursor of abstract art, Brancusi is concerned with reducing forms to their simplest expression, favoring the ovoid and using raw, unreworked materials.

It reminds also the works of #lamp the 50s architecture the art of Picasso, Calder, Giacometti, Barbarahepworth period and Jean Prouvé style, abstract decoration or mid centurylamp, figurative sculptures or charlotte perriand works.

A very slight stain inside the lampshade is barely visible.
