About the Item
Beautiful German table light manufactured by Peill and Putzler produced around 1970. Amazing wave shaped smoked glass globe and gold chromed parts. This combination in a table lamp does not show up very often, pretty uncommon.
Has been rewarded with the iF-Design Award in 1975.
The Peill & Putzler Futura lamps were also made in smoked “topaz” crystal glass with brass parts. Produced in several sizes. Made as a wall lamp, a flush mount and a pendant lamp.
Some say that this lamp is named “Anemone“. Others say that it is a Murano lamp designed by Toni Zuccheri, but it is only reminiscent. And some sellers say “Wave“, also a fabrication. This is not true.
Also often attributed to Koch & Lowy (Koch & Lowy) for the design. Koch & Lowy is an American lighting company and not a design team. They only sold this lamp and named it Maelstrom.
