Unique Red Pleated Ceramic Table Lamp by Joseph Algieri
About the Item
This is a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece designed by Joseph Algieri that is in his 'pleated ceramic' extrusion style developed in 2020. The process of making this lamp involved using a ceramic extruder that force clay into thin pleats that then are hand assembled. This is the largest lamp made in this style to date. The clay body is earthenware that is fired to cone 01, and the painted in enamel. This piece is sprayed in a beautiful deep burgundy using an HVLP spray gun, resulting in a very smooth finish that compliments the pleats in the clay. There are two sockets under the lamp shade that can either take a LED or incandescent bulb. The cord of the lamp is a burgundy silk with white switch and plug.
