Vintage Lytegem Black Task Lamp by Lightolier

About the Item

Vintage and all original Lytegem Lamp with spherical black metal shade and chrome base with walnut accent. Designed by Michael Lax for Lightolier. USA, 1965. Also available in other colors/finished (see our other listings for additional selections). Named by the late industrial designer Jay Doblin as one of the 20th century's 100 great product designs. The Lytegem emits localized light for reading and other tasks. Features a telescoping neck that adjusts from 6.5" to 15" and lamp head that swivels 360°. Anchored by a heavy cube base, in chromed steel with a walnut veneer top. Light intensity can be changed from low to high via a switch located on the base. Lamp may be used on table top or wall mounted. Uses a UL-listed bulb (included): 25w/12v. Item may be viewed at our showroom at NYDC, 200 Lexington, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
