I have another of these listed under my other items which has the adjustable base arms This is one of the coolest and most iconic lamps ever made, it is so simple yet so decorative We have fully serviced the lamp, it is ready to go, it has all the original patina Born in 1902, Jean-Boris Lacroix began his career in 1924 as artistic director of the Vionnet fashion house. During this period, he also designed furniture and lighting, combining glass and metal. Member of the UAM (Union of Modern Artists), he will contribute to shaping the industrial aesthetic of the post-war period. Keen to take into account the social and technological changes of his time, Lacroix’s aesthetic identity evolved in the 1950s. He began as a precursor of modernist design, with clean geometric lines. He then continued his experimentation with shapes and materials. Indeed, the designer was among the first to use brightly colored acrylic in the manufacture of lighting.
