About the Item
This handsome pair of bronze lamps feature verdigris patination on etched bodies imitative of an archaic Asian style, twin dragon form loop handles and brass electric double light fittings, The 1960 paper label Warren Kessler New York is still intact.
This US company started in 1938 and manufactured lamps and lighting for all the American embassies. Exquisite Kessler lamps were included in the remodeling of the Truman White House. Warren Kessler lived in New York City, where the showroom was located on 57th Street near 3rd Avenue. Here Warren conducted business and entertained customers. He died in 1966.
