19th Century French Gilt Overmantel Mirror

A magnificent late 19th century Louis XV style gilt overmantel mirror, in wood and gilded stucco, with string-of-pearls beading to the interior perimeter, and a tumbling openwork cartouche. This beautiful mirror features a wonderfully sleek, fluted frame, adorned with floral scrolls on each lower side, while the finely carved crest is a delightful design of flowers and foliage, reaching down to caress each shoulder.
