Tall Antique French Gold Gilt Carved Mirror, circa 1850-70

About the Item

This magnificent carved gilt wood mirror stands at just under 12' tall. Note the original painted finish with muted green, gray, dusty rose, gold gilt and more. A decorative basket of flowers is portrayed at the base. Elaborate carving crowns the arched top and all along the mirror with gold gilt carved frame. While the mirror has lost its refection through generations of use, it now serves as a stunning piece of art. This mirror and frame have been cleaned and is able to hang. All scratches, cracks, dings, chips, small missing pieces and age related separation seen throughout are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty of this remarkable find. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
