About the Item
A very Fine Italian 19th century Baroque Revival style Florentine giltwood carved figural mirror frame, with carvings of allegorical masks on each corner and scrolled acanthus borders and centred with a bevelled mirror plate. All gilt is original, Florence, circa 1880. (Note: This mirror frame can be hanged vertically or horizontally)

- Condition:Repaired: Touch ups. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. A stunning mirror frame with fine attention to detail. All gilt is original and has some minor age gilt wear exposing the red gilt-primer. Some minor restorations and hairlines to gilt with some signs of gilt-stress lifting.
