This is a large antique overmantle mirror. An English, giltwood and mercury glass mirror, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Superb country house appeal, with a grand proportion Displays a desirable aged patina and good original order Rich golden hues grace the bold giltwood frame Appealing original mirror plate with a desirable light foxing Prominent crown moulding with turned and collared pilasters Frame edge surrounded with an ebonised finish with reeded detail Foliate decorations accentuate the frame, with patera to the upper section Dressed to the rear with a pair of mounting loops for ease of hanging This is an attractive antique overmantle mirror, with a generous proportion and fine, original mercury glass plate. Ideal for the broader chimney breast. Delivered ready to display.
