- Pair of Small 18th Century Silverleaf Mirrors from ItalyLocated in Dallas, TXThese small and decorative wall mirrors are from Italy and date to the late 1700s. They have a simple rectilinear form adorned with carved scrolling motifs on the crown, at the shoulders, and flanking the lower corners. A small, stylized Fleur-de-lis rests at the top of the mirrors while small block feet support the frames. All of this is covered in a beautiful, rich silverleaf, which is original to the mirrors. The glass, though likely not original the frames, are old mercury mirrors, pre-1850. The backs of the frames are painted in a lavender blue and each has a small loop for easy hanging.
