Arched Top Brass Framed Mirror over Wall Mount Glass Shelf with Brass Supports
About the Item
Voguish wall mount console shelf, with arched top brass mirror. The shelf consists of a thick ( .75 in. ) glass element which rests on two stylized supports, each constructed of heavy solid stock brass. Above the shelf hangs an arched, or tombstone, form mirror, also having a substantial brass frame. Perfect to finish a foyer, entrance way or hallway, this example is modernist in design but can easily function in a more traditional or eclectic interior space. Circa 1940/1970's this chic item was removed from an exclusive Park Ave NYC apartment where it had graced an elegant, sophisticated and upscale home for many years.
The piece is in good, original, clean and ready to install condition, showing only some cosmetic wear to the finish, specifics to follow.
The brass frame which surrounds the mirror shows three spots where there was probably some tape on its surface for a long time, there is evidence of someone trying ( unsuccessfully ) to remove them, please see images.
