Italian, Lucca, Early Neoclassic Period Carved Tall Giltwood Mirror, Late 18th C
About the Item
Having an interior rectangular frame with a furrowed molded edge and an original two-piece mirrorplate, the inner frame surmounted by a Prince of Wales finial and leaf-form swags, floral sprays, and rosettes, with carved birds at the upper corners, the sides and bottoms mounted with leaved branches with carved “feet” at the bottom corners.
