Dimensions: H x W x D: 34 x 24 x 16 cm
Description:
Extremely rare and very high quality made make-up mirror from the Second Empire period around 1890.
The round base with 16 cm diameter is worked out as a bowl with fine decorations on the bottom, on the rim and on the outside.
The straight shaft leading to the top is also finely decorated, the interplay of bright and matte gilding creates a special tension.
Held in place by two locking screws, the round framed mirror pivots in a semi-circular holding device.
Condition:
The bronze is newly gilded and in excellent condition. The original mirror glass has become slightly blind over the decades but is still absolutely usable and worth preserving.
