Brass Vanity Mirror on Monumental Rust Marble Pillar Base

This piece is unlike anything we've ever seen. The stunning rust-colored marble pillar base has swirling movement and the brass mirror on top is aged to perfection. Since it appears to be one of a kind, we can only speculate as to its origins. Is it Italian? Perhaps. Is it from the mid 20th century? Perhaps, but we cannot be certain. The only thing we are certain of is that it's spectacular and very special. I can imagine this piece in a grand bathroom or petite powder room. It would also make an excellent entry piece. The mirror is dual sided (magnified and regular) and can be manipulated in many ways as shown in some of the images. There is a chip on the bottom of the marble base shown in the last image.
