Rare Antique Victorian Micro Mosaic Frame Mirror, 19" x 12.5"
About the Item
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Not a single colored glass tesserae missing on this massive frame. There are 2 age splits to the arched wood that frames in the mirror, one at 12 and one at 6 o'clock position, visible in our images. Otherwise no damage to the wood. The back had, at some time, been taped on rather than using the screws that mount the backing, and while we did remove all the pasty glue residue left by the unfortunate tape, you can see a slight discoloring to the wood on the back of the frame if you look for it. I'm sure it could be improved with some stain. We'll leave the decision to our buyer.

- Condition:Note above description. Very slight loss of silvering, not bad for age. Two age cracks in the beveling mat of wood that holds in the mirror. No loss of tesserae, slight lift to those at the very top of frame.
