Large Red Lacquered Chinese Painted Chinoiserie Mirror

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this full sized red Lacquered Chinese Chinoiserie free standing or over mantle mirror in the Georgian taste. A very decorative mirror which dates to the early to mid-20th century, it has the traditional red lacquer finish which has been decorated with painted Chinoiserie scenes. The frame is oak and the glass is the original plate which has a deep hew to it. We have cleaned waxed and polished it and it now has a new backing board, otherwise it is in ready to go condition Dimensions Height 181.5cm Width 151cm Depth 6cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
