18th C. Chippendale Mahogany Mirror, American, English Style Wall Mirror. Original Glass Gorgeous antique solid Mahogany American Chippendale mirror circa 1770 with scrolled and feathered details. This mirror has the original back and the original mirror glass, which is now cloudy. The mirror retains the original surface and has survived in outstanding condition. One small piece broken off. There is a partial hairline crack on the top. (see images) Many of the Rococo designs were French in origin, but Chippendale modified some of them for the less flamboyant English market. America adapted the style in the 18th Century. This mirror is perfectly proportioned to fit in smaller spaces. Size: H 31 ½” x W 16 ½”
