18th C. Italian Rectangular Mirror with Hand-Painted Wood Surround
About the Item
An Italian decoratively hand-painted wall mirror from the 18th century. This antique mirror from Italy has thick wood surround that has been hand-painted with foliate ornamentation about the central sections of each of the four sides. There is a thinner inner molding with petite bead trim that outlines the center glass. The overall color palette is a marigold (or mustard yellow) with warm red accents, and a lovely aged patina throughout. This 18th century Italian mirror is rectangular in shape with a height just over 4 feet tall.
