18th Century French Louis XVI Carved Giltwood Wall Mirror from Provence

About the Item

This elegant, 18th century Louis XVI Mirror would make a charming addition to any interior decor. Crafted in Southern France, circa 1780, the mirror is heavily carved and exemplifies the design elements of the Rococo and Baroque style. The pediment is centered by a picture of an ancient city surrounded by flowers and topped with a carved giltwood bow. Both sides of the mirror are decorated with fluted giltwood frame. The ornate, rectangular mirror is in excellent condition with its original bright and patinated gold leaf finish. Hanging wire on the back for easy handling and installation.
