18th Century Louis XVI Style Parcel Gilt Mirror
About the Item
A late 18th Century Louis XVI style parcel-gilt mirror. Elaborate three- dimensional carved crest with a bird's nest under a floral wreath canopy surrounded by scrolling garlands. Beautifully detailed. Pale verdigris painted outside edge and feet. Restoration to bottom corners and minor gilt touch-ups. Mirror is replaced. Crest is removable. Circa 1780-1800.
