1920s French Faux Bamboo Wood Framed Mirror

About the Item

A faux bamboo wood framed mirror, France, circa 1920s. In the Chinoiserie taste, a hard-wood frame formed to resemble bamboo. With the original mirror and metal hanging chain. Backed with the original thin sheet of wood as well. Heavy. Most often found in the entry ways of French homes or in the cafes and bistros of Paris. Perfect in a bathroom or in a farmhouse style kitchen. 17 in. L x 15 in. W x 1.25 in. deep Lovely time-worn patina. In very good condition showing the expected wear to the wood finish, minor foxing to the mirror. The wood backing shows age wear.
