20th Century Italian Silver Barocco Wall or Table Mirror
About the Item
Impressive Baroque/Rococo wall and table mirror in 800 silver.
Starting from a period mirror which was then inserted into the mirror, this masterpiece was completely handmade from a 800 silver plate. Subsequently embossed, chiseled and engraved with floral motifs. Among the various processes you can see knurling and superlative engravings. On the upper and lower part of the mirror, 2 symmetrical shells have been embossed.
The shell of the upper part has been embossed concave, while the one below has been embossed convex, i.e. from the inside to the outside.
Object is designed to beautify and be enhanced in a period or Baroque-style house.
Made in Alessandria - Piedmont - Italy at the end of the 60s of the last century. The silversmith who made it bore the state hallmarks AL 655 and closed the business due to seniority at the end of the 70s.
