20th century, Venetian Mirror
These refined mirror was made in Murano, Venice, in the 20th century, in the style widespread in the lagoon city in the early eighteenth century. The mirror is presented inside complex frames made through the interlocking of different ground mirrors and shapes of different sizes, with wavy and animated profiles, and engraved in the center of each side with depictions of Chinoiserie with architecture and characters inspired by China. The processing is very complex and delicate and requires great precision and attention to detail. Along the entire outer perimeter of the frame is applied a profile of black lacquered wood.
This type of frame was very widespread in the noble houses of the eighteenth century and is of great effect even today, particularly suitable for environments with modern furnishings, but equally pleasant in contexts characterized by antique furniture.

The frame, in carved and gilded wood, has the characteristics of the Venetian baroque.
