Antique Octagonal Wall Mirror in Gilded Wood, 19th Century Scandinavia

About the Item

A medium sized octagonal wall mirror in gilt wood / oak. It was made in the mid-late 19th century Scandinavia - either in Denmark or Sweden. It features its original mercury mirror glass that has blurred up over the span of time. Together with the patinated frame it gives the piece character and authenticity. Together with the Heraldic symbolism to its four panels its patina also gives it a heavy/dark 'Gothic' presence in the space/room. It is still very useable and it has the advantage of covering up your wrinkles. Measurements: height: 62 cm, width: 46 cm, dept: 8 cm.
