About the Item
Bronze large mirror is hand crafted based on sculptural tree bark fragments that were hand picked by the designer around UK grounds for their unique sculptural features and natural texture. Each delicate bark piece was carefully moulded, bronze cast in the lost wax process, assembled and made into a beautiful mirror. A functional artwork that acts also as a wall art.
The mirror is part of 'Bark' collection where sculptural tree bark fragments, kept intact in their natural form and texture, are individually moulded in silicone rubber and cast in bronze. The bronze fragments are then meticulously soldered to one another, piece by piece, following the designer's layout and composition. The cast pieces are then welded to a bronze frame rim and made into a stunning mirror.
The mirror in the picture is finished in a striking gold patina and the overall size is 125cm x 65cm. Tree bark mirror is available to order in other sizes and finishes such as bronze or silver and will be priced accordingly.
It is also possible to make a basic template of the required mirror at an extra small fee once an order is placed.
