French Regence Period Mirror
About the Item
An early 18th century Regence period giltwood framed mirror with upper crest depicting a basket of flowers over a scallop shell with other rocaille decoration. It retains its original mercury glass plate with expected wear and hazing to the glass. The piece has a lot of character and should be purchased with this in mind.

- Condition:Repaired: Some touch-up and repair to plaster. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Older touch-up and losses to gesso and plaster throughout. Gilding is aged and blackened in some areas. Mirror is foggy and has wear in some areas. Lots of character.
