Italian 19th Century Giltwood and Patinated Off-White Mirror
About the Item
A powerful Italian 19th century giltwood and patinated off white mirror. The original mirror plate is set within an impressive and most decorative mottled giltwood border set on a patinated off white background. At the base are richly carved overflowing cornucopias with finely detailed fruits and flowers. Above is an elegant central acanthus leaf flanked by luxuriant scrolled foliate movements with a mottled top crown at the top. All original gilt and patina throughout.
