Italian Mid 19th Century Roccoco St. Giltwood Mirror
About the Item
An exceptional Italian mid 19th century Rococo St. giltwood mirror. The original mirror plate is framed within an impressive and richly detailed giltwood border. Above the straight base and leading up the curvaceous sides are intricately carved reeded cabochon patterns and striking scrolled movements and detailed swaging floral garlands. The top crown displays a large scrolled foliate element flanked by floral carvings. All original gilt.
