Oscar model mirror by Campo & Graffi for Home 1958

About the Item

Oscar model mirror designed by Campo & Graffi. Refined mirror with a curved triangular shape produced by Home Torino in 1958 to a design by Franco Campo and Carlo Graffi. Rare in that the collaboration between the two designers and the furniture production lasted only 8 years. Made of Teak wood and silvered crystal. On the back is the manufacture's label and was published in Domus No. 346. The wall mirror is in excellent conservative condition, has no structural defects but has slight signs of time visible from photos. Franco Campo and Carlo Graffi met as undergraduates at the Turin Polytechnic, where they studied engineering and architecture with Carlo Mollino, with whom they collaborated after graduation. In 1956 they founded HOME in Turin atelier of innovative furniture; in 1964 the factory was destroyed by a fire that also divided their ways.
