Pair of Large French Giltwood Pier Mirrors, 19th Century
About the Item
This exceptional pair is from the fourth quarter of the 19 th century.
They have cut corners with flat crests, decorated with laurel wreaths
and sprays secured with carved tassels, the surround carved with
ribbon-bound flowers and inner beading, the crests with with swags of
fringed drapery and scattered flower heads, and the corners decorated
with leaf carved finials. The mirror plate has a nice wide bevel and is
