Queen Anne Triple Plate Gilded Wood and Gesso Overmantel Mirror

About the Item

A fine triple mercury plate gilded wood and gesso overmantel mirror, the divided silvered and bevelled glass with scalloped edging to the outer sections, the rectangular frame having a running link inner with the mainframe decorated with cross-hatching interspersed with framed floral motifs, the shaped corners with distinctive concentric patterning and defined by curled leaf fronds.
