Secessionist Wall Mirror with Brass Elements Austrian Jugendstil Art Nouveau

About the Item

Secessionist mirror with copper frame, gilded brass elements, ca. 1900 Our mirror with gilded brass elements was made of copper and is partially decorated with hammered ornamentation - a particularly elaborate technique that was often used in the period around 1900. The two intertwined ornaments on the sides are reminiscent of those we know from contemporaries of that time, such as Koloman Moser or Josef Hoffmann. They give this timeless art object a wonderfully organic effect. copper, chased (hammered ornamentation); gilt brass ornaments Keywords: Jugendstil, Viennese Art Nouveau, Art around 1900, Mirror, Wall, Art Deco, Austrian Art, Secessionist Art, Vienna Secession, Brass, Copper, Framed Mirror, Glass, Antique Mirror, Antique Glass
