About the Item
Oskar Zieta is a CEO of Zieta Studio established in 2010 in Wroclaw. The company is an interdisciplinary team of architects, designers, engineers and technologists as well as production line and industrial implementation workers. Specialists in many fields are permanent collaborators of Zieta Studio - psychologists, biologists, scientists and many others. FiDU Innovation Lab develops its own, innovative technologies of stabilizing sheet metal, i.e. FiDU and 3+ and their application to modern architecture, engineering and design.
Silex is a design product that pays homage to the classics with contemporary technology and style. The classic oval mirror with decorative borders recalls the shape of classical mirrors.
The frame is inflated using FiDU technology, and the metal-polished mirror design continues Zieta's iconic tradition on the one hand, but also refers to the origin of mirrors - the world's earliest mirrors were made of polished metal.
The abstract shape of Silex is very similar to a broken fire stone (that is, a fire stone, the earliest tool used by humans to generate fire), and its name is also derived from this.
