A French giltwood mirror with a deep relief flowering basket crest with shell on top, the mirror with foliate and floral motif corners separated by "antiqued" beveled mirrored panels. The central mirror lavishly beveled. Stamped on verso for Victor Barat, Tours, retailer. Dimensions: 31 3/4" X 18" X 2 1/2" D Condition: The original supports have broken on the back holding the crest to the mirror and have been repaired. 3/8" tiny scratch to lower mirror. Old repair to floral motif on lower right corner. Minor gilt wear to upper center and few areas of discoloration with the presentation being elegant and fine.
