This incredibly stylish mirror done in the Georgian style was made in England, circa 1850. The Palladian styling favored by the likes of Chippendale and others is shown here in an Early Victorian frame. Carved in oak a wood hard to carve but capable of deep and detailed work shows many Fine details. These include acanthus leaves, volutes, pantera, scrolls and lambrequins. His color of the wood is deep and rich with many natural grain patterns. The mirror retains its old plate and is in great shape. While the mirror feel larger and imposing it is in fact a tightly compact design set on a smaller frame that would work well in any home.
