1960's Heart-Shaped Venetian Mirror
This exquisite heart-shaped Venetian mirror, crafted in the 1960s, exemplifies the renowned craftsmanship of Murano glass artisans. Its shield-like frame, meticulously etched and engraved using the celebrated 'Rovescio' technique, is beautifully adorned with crystal-clear Murano glass and delicate pink rosettes. The mirror is securely mounted on a robust wooden base, with Venetian mirror plates and Murano glass elements affixed using glass stud nails. Despite its age, the mirror remains in very good condition, with all elements intact and no damage. Notably, the mirror has developed a foxing effect in several areas, which adds a unique depth to the piece.
