Vintage Round Rope mirror in the stye of Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet, 1960s
About the Item
We offer for sale a handcrafted vintage round mirror.
This 60s mirror in natural fibers has good dimensions, with a diameter of 58.5cm and a thickness of 5cm; it has a radial skeleton made of rushes, to which straw ropes are intertwined, as in the weave of a fabric, creating a dense fabric.
The mirror frame is composed of a dense weave of straw, animated at the entire and external ends by a thicker braid of straw.
The natural fiber texture has a beautiful patina in a wide range of wheat color shades.
This Mid Century Modern mirror comes from a seaside resort on the coast of Rome, it has no labels or brands that certify its production but due to its Riviera style and the materials used it is very reminiscent of the articles created by Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet.
The mirror shows minimal signs of use and oxidation visible in the photos, and is contained in the rope frame by a thin plywood panel.
The mirror is in good vintage condition.
