18th Century, Pair of Venetian Badside Cabinet
About the Item
Elegant pair of Venetian bedside tables, made in the transition period between the Louis XV and XVI style.
Entirely veneered in walnut with boxwood and acid-etched cherry edges to give it a greenish colour.
They were created for women with three drawers of different sizes and for men with a drawer and a door for the Comoda.
The sides are also inlaid and straight, while the front has the typical crossbow shape.
The bronze handles in the shape of a crumpled leaf are original. Venetian manufacture from 1760.
Perfectly restored, they have kept a nice light colour.
