American Airlines DC-3 Airplane Vanity Full Size Bed Set by Virginia Maple Co.
About the Item
A very Rare handcrafted midcentury solid maple wood bedroom set with Douglas Commerical aircraft DC-3 motif . The full sized bed with head , foot and side rail boards picture carved propellers and the planes . The vanity desk with tilting mirror have the same plane and prop carvings with the plane having an A to the tail area for American Airlines which flew many of the DC-3s during the period . The desk has 6 drawers with handles that are control knobs and wheels, manufactured by the Virginia Maple Company the measurements for the bed are headboard 56.5" L x 2" D x 39" H the footboard is 57.75" L x 26" H the total height with the mirror on the vanity desk is 63" H.
