About the Item
A sculptural headboard of hand-forged metal with powder coloured pigments. A beautifully wrought abstract work by Italian craftsman Salvino Marsura, 1970s.
The headboard is all one piece, with tubes to the front of the legs where further bed frame could be attached. The pigments are applied to the surface in a lightly brushed layer of a light gold hue (very slightly rosey).
The piece is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear in line with age and use, including minor losses to the patina. See images for examples and overview and zoom in for details. Marsura signature stamp to the frame.
Approximate dimensions:
H: 133cm
W: 195cm to outer points of the sculpture
D: 5cm excluding fixing tubes on the legs 9cm including tubes/screws
The loops are positioned one on each leg, approximately 38cm from the floor to the top of the tube and 177cm apart (screw to screw).
