About the Item
Designed to make a statement, the majestic Max bed adopts a linear silhouette and a sumptuous deep box spring base. Skilfully upholstered in Savoir’s London Bedworks in Italian cotton velvet with a horsehair fabric border which extends to the base. The combination of contrasting textures elevates the design and showcases traditional British craftsmanship at its very best. The Max is paired with our sumptuous Nº1 bed set. The culmination of over a century of bed-making expertise, requiring at least 120 hours of handcrafting, the Nº1 is the ultimate in luxury.
Savoir Nº1 bed set includes:
Nº1 Box Spring - our Nº1 box spring provides a foundation of pure comfort, crafted from the finest materials; horsetail, hourglass springs and beech. The box spring is essential for supporting the bed's mattress, ensuring give and independent movement.
Nº1 Mattress* - Layer upon layer of the very finest natural materials ensures you awaken from the Nº1 fully renewed. Lavish quantities of hand-laid horse tail, cotton and wool encase tall contour-hugging pocket springs, resulting in the world’s most luxurious handcrafted mattress. *Mattress tensions can be customised. Choose from soft, medium, firm, or dual tension.
HCa Topper - Plump with the world’s finest materials, our HCa Topper is the ultimate comfort layer for your Nº1 bed, giving you the feeling of floating, weightless. The Nº1 mattress topper features lavish layers of horsetail, sheep's wool and pure cashmere encased in delicate stretch cotton. If you wish, you can also choose to add Mongolian yak hair, to further elevate this topper's sumptuous feel.
Upholstered in Dedar ‘Adamo and Eva, Prugna col 119’ with a border of John Boyd horsehair in ‘Paso Red/Black Col 502.’ Finished with ebony block legs.

Savoir Beds
As sure as day follows night, how we sleep informs how we live. Savoir has spent over a century perfecting the art of comfort, interweaving craft, creativity, and nature. Over that time, Savoir have mastered time-honoured techniques and made leaps of innovation. The result is a collection of beds made to an extraordinary standard of luxury. The Savoir story began in 1905 when impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte required a bed luxurious enough to qualify for the rooms of his newly opened Savoy Hotel in London. Not finding any that were up to his exacting standards, he chose to create his own. The result is still made today, and the spirit of its creation continues to govern Savoir’s approach to every bed it creates. The skilled craftsmen work intently at individual oak trestles at Savoir Bedworks in West London and Wales, hand-making beds from inception to completion. Savoir’s mission is to provide every customer with the most comfortable and stylish bed imaginable. From the required support to the style of the home, dimensions, materials and fabrics can all be personalised.
