Stunning 1920’s Art Deco Sunray Inlaid Double Bed
About the Item
Dating to the 1920.s we are proud to present this Art Deco Double Bedstead. This wonderful, rare example in walnut features the most glorious geometric inlays to both the headboard and footboard, Comprising of Geometric sun rays alternating in pale emerald green and ebonised panels radiating from an elliptical section of burr walnut with corresponding circular black accents to the base of each ray. Internal length is 6 ft 4”. Another particularly striking feature is the Empire State Building styled stepped plinth in bookpaged walnut with a very thin ebonised accent to the very base. The bed comes complete with its original Vono bed frame which makes for a particularly sturdy bed and is finished with a full set of brand new pine slats. Wonderfully Art Deco, very rare, excellent condition, ready to ship immediately.
