We are delighted to offer for sale this very fine pair of Maple & Co London Burr Walnut side tables with heavily carved cabriolet legs and mirrored top butlers slip serving trays, which are part of a large suite This pair are part of a suite as mentioned, I have in total a sublime pair of bedside table nightstands, the dressing table with trifold mirrors, the bed frame and lastly the large triple bank wardrobe, this sale is for the piece mentioned above only, the other items will be listed shortly Made by Maple & Co who were a top London furniture maker and world renowned for their quality style and craftsmanship These side tables are really super decorative, they look good in a bedroom or living room setting, each one has a mirror topped butlers slip serving tray, the idea being you can either have drinks and snacks served by your butler there or leave it out for jewellery and accessories for dressing The pair are made of wonderfully rich Burr Walnut panels which are surrounded by expertly crafted carvings, the legs are a real tour de force of carving Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it, there may be age and use related patina marks here and there, as far as I can see there is nothing negative to note and its in fine order Dimensions Height:- 71cm Width:- 46.5cm Depth:- 43.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
