About the Item
A pair of wooden ‘bombe’ style bedside cabinets, skillfully blending craftsmanship and modern design. Crafted from solid wood, these cabinets feature a unique and eye-catching shape with soft, flowing curves and a bulged centre. They each house two pull-out drawers and stand at a lower-than-average height, making them ideal to grace each side of your bed.
The cabinets are influenced by classical Rococo 'bombe' style and French commode design, executed in a simpler and more modern format. This is further enhanced by the finish of the cabinets: a pink metallic gilt finish—whimsical and glistening.
In good structural condition, both cabinets show signs of age and use, including wear to the gilt finish, indentation marks, and scratches. This wear could be easily addressed with a re-gild to restore them to a pristine state.
