Mid-Century modern beech plywood Hans Mitzlaff children's table and chairs set

About the Item

This children's mid-century table and chairs set, was designed post-war German architects Albrecht Lange and Hans Mitzlaff. The "Mannheim pair" was also known for their other groundbreaking furniture designs of the time. The part of Eastern Germany where these were produced, was occupied by the Soviet Union at the time. The desk has the original "Made in the USSR" label on the underside. These have been carefully restored and are in mint vintage condition, ready for another beloved owner. The set is rare to find complete, especially in this condition. The table can also be used as a desk, making this design multi-functional. The beech plywood construction is quite rigid and ingeniously designed with only a few screws to hold the composition together. Can be flat packed for shipping anywhere. Our entire collection of carpets and textiles and design objects is located in Brooklyn, New York. All of our pieces are professionally cleaned and restored prior to coming to market. We ship anywhere in the world within two weeks.
