Rare U.S.S. Akron Goodyear Zeppelin Cushion in Art Deco Style

About

These are difficult to source, especially in this condition. Very vibrant colors on original oil - cloth fabric. Relatively minor losses for an unrestored version of these, most wear to bottom black. Scattered wear, craquelure throughout. Original stitching. If you have the Bourke-White duralumin framed photo, or collect Aviation History, this is a desirable piece to have. The Akron operated between 1931-1933, having tragically crashed at sea in April 1933. She was the world's first purpose-built flying aircraft carrier, and helium filled. The origin of this cushion in unknown.
