About the Item
Pencil drawing depicting a two-seat biplane airplane for reconnaissance Albatros C III produced in 1916, by Riccardo Cavigioli. Measure with frame cm 53.5 x 31.4 - inches 21 x 13.
Riccardo Cavigioli was born in Milan on 10th November 1895 and he died in Gavirate (VA) on 27th May 1975; he was an aviation writer, draftsman and illustrator for important advertising campaigns; his water-colours were shown for the first time to in Turin Exhibition in 1928 and they are an important historical report. He contributed to aeronautical magazine and he published in 1934 the treatise “Austro-Hungarian aviation on Italian front in 1915-1918”, an important work for knowledge about history of Italian aviation.
