This is an an antique copy of Religio Medici by Sir Thomas Browne. An English language book, published by Macmillan & Co, London in the early 20th century, dated 1915. A seventeenth century work, Religio Medici - in English, The Religion of a Doctor - was written by Sir Thomas Browne (1605 - 1682). An English Polymath and author, Browne authored works on a wide variety of subjects. Noted for a sense of melancholy and wit, his works held great influence in period. At one point listed upon the Pope's prohibition list, Browne's first effort Religio Medici of 1643 sought to use scientific imagery to illustrate religious truths.
