About the Item

Text by Simone Marchetti and Lucia Silvestri, Photographs by Cho Gi-Seok With an encyclopedic spirit and characteristic flair for color, Bvlgari reconstructs the myth of Eden in a dream of fine jewelry that becomes a manifesto. This extraordinary illustrated book contains exclusive sketches and photographs of the jewelry from the new collection, and artistic references to the iconographic themes of nature and the garden with creative images by contemporary photographers. Poetry on the same topic from various eras and originating from all over the world—from Verlaine to Vita Sackville-West and Emily Dickinson, Federico García Lorca to Khwāju Kermani—also accompanies the images. In photography by the Korean master Cho Gi-Seok, the unique pieces of the Eden The Garden of Wonders collection, featuring emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and spinals in every color, flourishes in a magical and luxuriant world, a triumph of plants, flowers, and thriving nature. About The Author Simone Marchetti is director of Vanity Fair Italia, where he oversees the European editions of Vanity Fair in France, Spain, and Italy. As a fashion journalist he stands out for his prose, insight, and street style. Lucia Silvestri is the jewelry creative director at Bvlgari. • Eden Revisited, A Garden in Northern Morocco
    By Rizzoli International Publications
    Located in New York, NY
Author Umberto Pasti and Ngoc Minh Ngo, Foreword by Martina Mondadori Sartogo A lovingly photographed tour of internationally renowned writer Umberto Pasti's famous hillside garden in Morocco. Italian writer and horticulturist Umberto Pasti's passion for the wild flora of Tangier and its surrounding region led him to create his world-famous garden, Rohuna, where he has transplanted thousands of plants rescued from construction sites with the aid of men from the village. Planted between two small houses is the Garden of Consolation: a series of rooms and terraces with lush vegetation, some rendering homage to the paintings of Henri Rousseau, others inspired by invented characters. Surrounding the Garden of Consolation are the Wild Garden and a hillside devoted to the wild flowering bulbs of northern Morocco, where indigenous species of narcissus, iris, crocus, scilla, gladiolus, and others bloom. With its stunning vistas and verdant fields, Rohuna is a garden of incomparable beauty with the mission to preserve the botanical richness of the region. Captured here in detail by celebrated photographer Ngoc Minh Ngo, the poetic beauty of this special and unique place is lovingly rendered for all the world to see and share. About The Author Ngoc Minh Ngo is a celebrated photographer and the author of two books. Ngoc's images have been published in publications such as T Magazine, Architectural Digest, Cabana, and House & Garden UK. Umberto Pasti is a well-known Italian writer and horticulturalist. • At the Table of La Fortezza, The Enchantment of Tuscan Cooking
    By Rizzoli International Publications
    Located in New York, NY
At the Table of La Fortezza: The Enchantment of Tuscan Cooking from the Lunigiana Region. Author Annette Joseph, Photographs by David Loftus. Annette Joseph shares recipes from the charming Lunigiana region of Tuscany that were developed at her medieval fortress, La Fortezza. This is the first book on the cuisine of this important slow-food area. Lunigiana is a rugged, mountainous region of Tuscany, flanked by the Liguria coastline and Emilia-Romagna, whose cuisine has been shaped by its distinctive landscape and location. Author and stylist Annette Joseph purchased and renovated a stunning medieval fortress, aptly named La Fortezza (“The Fortress”), in this little-known area. Enamored by Lunigiana’s rich food heritage and traditions, Joseph sought out authentic and traditional dishes from the best chefs, home cooks, and slow-food purveyors in the region. This book showcases these rustic recipes, some of which have been enjoyed for centuries. Lunigiana’s cuisine brings together the flavors of both the coast and the mountains and draws inspiration from the neighboring regions. It is home to unique ingredients, such as chestnut flour, and its specialties are often still prepared the ancient way. Lunigiana is also recognized by UNESCO as a sustainable region, and Joseph’s recipes highlight slow-food practices, such as sourcing seasonal ingredients from local producers. Breathtaking photographs by David Loftus highlight the beauty of Lunigiana’s cuisine and countryside, as well as La Fortezza’s dreamy vineyard, orchards, and kitchen garden. This book is an incredible culinary and visual journey into an undiscovered region in Italy and a must-have for anyone who loves Italian food...
